Bag a bargain at the Park Rose Pottery Shopping Outlet. Shopping ideas and discount pottery....
Ian's Dad first took us to the Park Rose Pottery Shopping Outlet, quite a number of years ago...
Embarrassingly enough, we couldn't find it again on our own, until recently - but on a close examination of a Bridlington map we spotted something which might be it - and luckily it was!
So, unless you are already in the know, you might not have realised this useful little shopping centre even exists - or what might be there...
The Park Rose Pottery Shopping Outlet consists of factory shops for discount purchases.
Also on site are a pets and animal store, and a Birds of Prey centre.
The shopping outlet as a whole does seem slightly 'tired' (although, to be fair, a dark day in December was perhaps not the kindest day to visit!) but this in no way diminshes the bargains on offer.
The factory outlets are:
- The Park Rose Pottery Factory Shop - bargain slight-seconds of contemporary and colourful ceramicware:
- lampshades
- vases
- bowls
- The Original Factory Shop - discounted products:
- menswear
- womenswear
- children's clothing
- footwear
- jewellery and accessories
- toys and games
- homeware and home decor
- houseware and pets
- books and stationery
- gifts
There are big brands and some really fantastic bargains to be had - so do take your time browsing.
- There's a small cafe for refreshments, also a kiosk
- Toilets are available
- Free Car Parking
- Also visit the jam-packed pet store.
The Park Rose Birds of Prey Centre is also on site - currently under new management and closed for refurbishment - re-opening March 2010 - click here for more details.
Children's Play Areas available in season.
Do look out for the many peacocks around the site - they are very beautiful - and friendly - but still a bit scary - one did start to chase me as I started to photograph them... just camera-shy perhaps!
Park Rose Pottery Shopping Outlet on the Map
Find the Park Rose Centre on the southern outskirts of Bridlington. It is off the Moor Lane/Bridlington Bay Road - this is the road that connects the main A614 at Carnaby to the A165 Kingsgate Road (at the Wilsthorpe roundabout).
The Shopping Outlet is well signposted with brown tourist signs for the 'Park Rose Pottery'.
