Whitby is one of my all time favourite places, with its unique, rambling streets, quaint cottages and picturesque harbour and beach - what more could you ask for your holidays, whether a short, weekend break, or a longer stay.

- There are also some lovely looking little holiday cottages in Whitby, right in the heart of the old town (east side of town - Church Street) at Sanders Yard - B&B and holiday cottages, where we enjoyed a very large breakfast!

The nicest and most unusual looking boutique hotel has got to be La Rosa - individual and quirky (for all the right reasons!), it's beautiful - it's definitely on our 'list'. Find it on Whitby's West Cliff...
