Crossgates Fish and Chip Restaurant, Crossgates, Scarborough
by Helen
Thanks for the info you've posted. We had a brilliant time in North Yorkshire, and loved Cayton Beach best of all.
We went there every day and crashed the waves and played frisbee with the dog. It was really quiet and a very friendly beach. It was great to know where we could go with Obi too.
North Yorkshire is a really friendly place and they quite like Dogs which makes it even better :)
Found a great Fish and Chip restaurant between Cayton beach and our campsite. It was called
Crossgates in Crossgates at the Byways roundabout.
The staff are brilliant, and the fish and chips were equally brilliant. A great pot of tea too. Last orders for take away 8pm, sit in 7:30pm.

Definitely. By the end of the week we could all get back up without stopping or being out of breath!!! Feeling fit and healthy from all the walking and sea air.
Apparently it used to be a take away only then changed owners a couple of years ago, and they have opened it all out. We did have to leave the dog in the car, but parked right outside, and after a day on the beach he was quite happy to have a nap.

Seasides are good for you - it's definitely official (or unofficial anyways!) lol
Don't think we've been since it's become an eat-in - bet he was exhausted after all that running about! lol
