  • The main airport for the area is Leeds Bradford International Airport. This is a nice sized, friendly airport.
  • This has connections from:
    • UK:
      • Aberdeen
      • Belfast
      • Bristol
      • Exeter
      • Edinburgh
      • Glasgow
      • Isle of Man
      • Heathrow
      • Newquay
      • Plymouth
      • Southampton
    • International: Many international connections.

      Top Tip: Try connecting worldwide through Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. This is just an easy hop of less than an hour to Leeds Bradford Airport, with regular flights throughout the day. This is Ian’s preferred route when flying to Europe and USA with his work.

    • Newcastle Airport
    • Durham Tees Valley Airport
    • Manchester Airport

  • The railways can be a very good way of getting to England, and Yorkshire, or travelling around within England and Yorkshire.
  • Eurostar: Take the high speed Eurostar to London Waterloo from mainland Europe.

    From London there are high speed links to Leeds, York or Hull in as little as 90 minutes.

  • Within Yorkshire: There is a good rail network to get around Yorkshire, plus scenic routes on leisure trains.
