We enjoyed a huge and tasty lunch at The Feversham Arms, in Church Houses, as part of our Farndale wild daffodil walk
The Feversham Arms is a proper country pub, with a welcoming atmosphere, great food, comfortable surroundings and some great views across the surrounding countryside.
Of course, in the middle of the daffodil season, the pub does get very busy - its popular, and deservedly so - a great place to stop for a while and fill up those hungry stomachs, and rest those weary legs...
Don't worry, as its bigger than it initially seems, and there are plenty of tales and seating for customers.
There is a pub car park (customers only).
There's a great choice of meals available on the menu, depending on if you want something quick and light, or to treat yourself with a much larger meal.

We enjoyed a massive lunch (the meals were much larger than we were expecting)...
I had peppered tuna steak, served with chips, peas and salad.
Ian had a chicken pie, with chips and veg.
Both meals were really huge - certainly the biggest tuna steak I've ever seen! They came on massive plates, and the chips had to be served separately, as there wasn't actually any space for the chips on the main plate!
As well as being huge, the meals were really good - well cooked and tasty.
The pub was quite busy, but we didn't even have to wait that long for our food. Service was fast and friendly and staff were welcoming - a lovely, friendly and informal atmosphere helped us to relax immediately and enjoy the meals.
A great pub - inside or out of daffodil season - well worth a visit - particularly if you can combine your visit with the enjoyable Farndale wild daffodil walk
The Feversham Arms also has:
B & B accommodation (dogs welcome)
Holiday Cottages for hire (dogs welcome)
