Fraisthorpe Beach

Fraisthorpe beach was a naturist beach and still should be. Everybody used to get on very well and there were very few problems.
The thing is that East Yorkshire Council spent vast amounts of money putting up signs that threatened people with prosecution for doing something that
they had being doing since at least the end of World War 2.
Around this time we had Humberside police being used like some kind of SAS forces against law abiding members of the public, I can say that because after all
the over the top drama nobody received a criminal conviction.
Humberside police is the force that said at this time that they were bogged down with paper work and were being told to do work that was unnecessary and this is
why major mistakes had happened. The council were pressed and threatened about the legal stance themselves by a club which if the council thought
that they had a leg to stand on, surly they would have fought on.
Incidentally it was a tip off by the public of Bridlington that let everybody know that the SAS style raid was going to happen, so if the public
of Bridlington are so appalled then why did they let everybody know? I hear now that the signs have been taken down and the coast guard have said that as long as there is nothing illegal going on then they will not intervene.
So let us go back to the days where law abiding people can practice their hobby.
As you say the beach stretches from Bridlington to Hornsea. I think a small part miles away from anywhere could and should be abled to be used by law abiding naturists. If somebody is breaking the law like Dogging
then yes they should be in front of a court and punished.
Like a lot of people who are naturists or not (I have tried it on only a few occasions and not for a long time) we have written to EYC and they have NOT
replied.
Our seaside towns and cities have found it hard and most are in decline. People are going abroad for their holidays and spending less time and money in places like Bridlington. These places need all the assets and attraction that they can get.
If we turn people away because of this then places abroad will take the money gleefully as they do allow it. It will be the British business man/woman who loses out as well as those who would want to work and earn money with employment in the UK tourist industry.
