Hornsea Shopping

For those serious shopping moments, when you just need a touch of retail therapy along the Yorkshire east coast, why not try a visit to Freeport Hornsea Outlet Village...

This is a designer outlet style retail park - self hailed as 'The first in England'.

There's usually lots of bargains to be had here! By the standards of other retail outlets around, (Leeds, Hull or even York) this is actually pretty small-fry.... but, for a small town on the coast, it is pretty impressive, and I find it the perfect place to call in, along the coast, for that much needed retail therapy.

Freeport Hornsea Outlet Village is clean, modern and spacious. It is somewhat nicer than the all-commercial, big-city, retail outlets and shopping malls, as it really is designed as a village, with streets of shops radiating from a central 'square' where food is available.

The 'village' is out in the open (the shops themselves are all under-cover, of course) so you can enjoy nicely landscaped gardens whilst you shop - a much more pleasant and relaxing shopping experience altogether!

Eating

We ate at the Food Court on a recent visit to Hornsea Freeport. You can choose between full meals and snacks in the cafeteria, or drinks and lighter snacks in the Coffee Shop area.

The food was hot, good and filling and the eating area was clean and welcoming. Staff were helpful and friendly.

A good place to stop for a rest and a bite to eat when in Hornsea shopping!

• Mon-Sat: 9.30am to 6pm
• Sunday: 11am to 5pm
