Review by the Unofficial Guide....

We enjoyed a warming lunch at The Crown Inn in the pretty little village of Hutton le Hole.

The Crown Inn was a real, traditional country pub - very homely, warm and friendly - with a real log fire!

We ate lunch in the bar area, with comfortable benches and chairs arranged around tables - there is also a separate dining area too.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and all the food was freshly prepared - but even so, we didn't have to wait long at all!

The full menu has got a large choice of main meals, including various favourites, such as steak, lasagne and cottage pie.

We ate from the Winter Warmer Menu (served Mon-Sat 11.45am-2pm):

• 3 courses @ £9.95

Our food came quickly, and there was plenty of it.

Ian enjoyed a lovely, chunky steak pie - very flavourful!

I had some deliciously creamy mash and sausage.

The veg were served in a separate dish, and were lovely, fresh and tasty.

We really enjoyed our meal here - tasty and filling - and a wonderful, relaxing and cosy ambience in the pub - we'd definitely recommend it, and eat here again.

• Evenings:
  • Mon - Fri: 6 - 8pm
  • Sat: 6 - 8.30pm
• Sundays:
  • Food all day: 11.45am - 6.30pm

There is a beer garden at the rear of the pub, and a car park (patrons only).
