This is a lovely little village, leading down to a beautiful beach, known as Mappleton Sands.
To enjoy the lovely, wide, sandy beach, go through the pretty village and park at the car park and picnic area off Cliff Lane. There are public toilets here.
It is just a short step from here, down the slipway to this lovely, quiet beach. On the day we went, there were just a few fishermen on the beach.
On a weekend, you can stock up on supplies, such as ice-creams, sweets etc at the little store in the village - the brightly painted 'Just for the Weekend' store.
Take your tuck down for a relaxing picnic at the tranquil, sandy beach, or enjoy a walk along cliff paths, in either direction.
