For a relaxing day at the beach with vast, soft sands, visit this tiny village and beach. Enjoy the wonders of nature on the coast, walk along the beach... Let the 'Unofficial Guide' tell you more...
This is a lovely little village, leading down to a beautiful beach, known as Mappleton Sands.
To enjoy the lovely, wide, sandy beach, go through the pretty village and park at the car park and picnic area off Cliff Lane. There are public toilets here.
It is just a short step from here, down the slipway to this lovely, quiet beach. On the day we went, there were just a few fishermen on the beach.
Take your tuck down for a relaxing picnic at the tranquil, sandy beach, or enjoy a walk along cliff paths, in either direction.
Dogs are permitted on the beach here. More about where dogs are allowed on the Yorkshire coast, holidays and days out with dogs...
We really enjoyed our brief stop here, and definitely intend to visit for a longer stop in the future.
