Restaurants in Whitby reviewed - Shafiq Pakistani Restaurant
We review Whitby restaurants... we had a lovely meal out at the Shafiq restaurant - delicious Pakistani cuisine.
We share our experience... read on for more....
On the final day of our recent holiday in Whitby, we decided to enjoy our evening meal in the restaurants in Whitby at the Shafiq Restaurant.
The Shafiq Restaurant is a smart and contemporary restaurant, offering fine Pakistani cuisine (and halal food).
The restaurant is in a simple, modern style, with a very contemporary feel, with deep, burnished orange walls, and beautiful and interesting art in an eastern style (these were actually created by local school children - extremely impressive!)
It is a large and airy restaurant, with a great view of the river, east cliff and all the people passing - we were lucky enough to get a window table!
The waiters and staff were all very attentive, friendly, professional and helpful.
There was nice, Pakistani-style music playing softly in the background, to add to the relaxing ambience.

The menu had plenty of choice:
A good selection of starters
Wide choice of main course curries

All dishes can be served as:

My Passanda Chicken
The meals were nice and light and not greasy at all!
As it was our last night, we treated ourselves to desserts...
I had a mango 'kulfi' ice cream.
Ian had a 'trufas' - a delicious ice cream with truffles.
Ian's tempting trufas dessert
The Shafiq serves Cobra beer.
The meals came to around £50 in total - including drinks - but we thought it was well worth it!
Delicious food, relaxing and smart atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff - we'll definitely return!
