Jaconelli's is a veritable Scarborough 'institution', with a presence on the seafront going back many years...
The whole family enjoyed an ice cream at Jaconelli's after a recent birthday party at the Kam Sang Chinese restaurant.
We all walked down to the seafront of Scarborough beach resort, on a lovely sunny, Sunday afternoon, to enjoy a delicious ice cream, watching the waves.
Jaconelli's is an ice cream shop/kiosk, right on the seafront on Scarborough's South Bay - right opposite the main beach (harbour end).
You can opt for a 'plain' whip (vanilla) or ice cream with various flavour toppings. Blackcurrant was one appetising-sounding option, but we nearly all had a delicious 'Lemon Top'.
The topping is a lemon sorbet whip - very sharp and tangy and gave a great contrast to the soft, sweet vanilla underneath.
A great taste experience - you've got to try it!
So, next time you're enjoying a day out at Scarborough beach resort, experience a part of Scarborough history, and enjoy a Jaconelli's ice cream.
