We enjoyed a May-time Thursday evening visit to Scarborough north bay - a walk around Peasholm Park and the seafront, and by 9.30pm, we were very ready for a bite to eat...
We actually found it very difficult to find a sea-front fish and chip shop or snack bar that was open! I was quite surprised!
Luckily the Oasis Cafe, right on the seafront in the North Bay, came to the rescue...!
The Oasis started life as a seafront kiosk-cafe, but has recently seen a massive refurbishment, and is now a smart, new, 2 storey building, with a snack-bar downstairs, and a sit-down cafe-restaurant area upstairs.
The upstairs cafe-restaurant opens until 9.30pm at weekends, and daytimes only (till 5.30pm) during the week. (Correct at the date of our visit - May 2011 - may open late all week during peak season, and less during winter)
We weren't lucky with the upstairs restaurant area, but the downstairs snack-bar area opens much later, and we were able to enjoy a bite to eat!

The service was very friendly, and our food was all cooked freshly for us (quite quickly actually).
I couldn't wait to take a bite of my fishcake!
I had fishcake and chips, and Ian had fish and chips.
Ian's already half-way through his fish and chips!
The food was hot, tasty and filling.
There is a covered seating area, with patio tables and chairs, just alongside, so that you can enjoy your snack in comfort, whatever the weather!
We found this to be clean and well-maintained - and it had great views over the sea!
We were lucky enough to enjoy a gorgeous Scarborough north bay sunset! :o)
There is a toilet here (for customers only) and parking is right outside (on Royal Albert Drive - the seafront).

This was a great snack-stop for us - convenient on the seafront on Scarborough north bay, and open late!
A very friendly service, a nice place to eat - a nice view and good food! We'll be back!
