scarborough restaurants fish and chips with seagull Scarborough is quite a big town, so whether you are enjoying fun days out in the UK at the coast, or if you have come to stay for a longer holiday, I'm sure it won't be long before you want to take a break, take the weight off your feet for a little while, and have a tasty bite to eat...

There's a huge choice of different places to eat in Scarborough, from seafront snack bars, fish and chips, cafes and tea rooms to the more exclusive Scarborough restaurants.

Scarborough is still a working port, so does have a good supply of fresh fesh to the town - this means that the fish dishes are usually excellent - right from fish and chips, wrapped in paper, eaten on the sea front, all the way up to very fine fishy cuisine...

When Ian moved to York we had to give up eating fish and chips, as he was so appalled at the taste difference between the fish that had clearly been stored or frozen, to travel inland, and the wonderfully fresh fish he was used to from living by the sea, in Scarborough...

Now we like to save our fish and chip suppers for times when we are in sight or sound of the sea... and Scarborough is definitely one of our very favourite spots for enjoying fish and chips at the seaside...
