What to do in Filey - a Nice Walk

by Arthur R.
(W. Yorks.)

A pleasant walk is along the promenade from the Coble Landing to the Royal Parade, where you will find a cafe selling ice-cream.

Climb the steps leading up to the Boating Lake & Glen Gardens which is popular with families with children.

From here you can walk back through Crescent Gardens, where in the summer you will find a brass band playing on a Sunday afternoon.

The beach is popular with people of all ages.

The more energetic can walk out of the town high on the cliff along The Cleveland Way passing St Oswalds Church, the Country Park, Carr Naze & on to The Brigg where there are great views back to the town.

Other attractions are crazy golf, putting, maze, tennis, bowls, mini golf & a full 18 hole course. There is also a sailing club, indoor swimming pool, bird hides & a museum.

Hope you enjoy the walk!

Arthur

Sounds lovely!

Hello Arthur

Thank you very much for submitting your suggested walk around Filey - it certainly sounds very pleasant.

We will try it the next time we are in Filey, I think!

Thanks

Charlotte
